Did that Car Salesman Scam You?

December 16, 2019 by Ian Leave a Comment

Stepping on to a car lot is much like going to the dentist. Just like you need your teeth, you need a fully operable and dependable car. When you know for certain there is a problem, you have to break down and see the professionals no matter how uncomfortable it is. And rather than getting nickelled and dimed to death with repairs on a car that keeps on leaving you stranded on the side of the road, you are probably better off just finding a more dependable vehicle.

However, there is nothing quite like dealing with a car salesman. Why can’t the prices of these vehicles just plainly be laid out without the need to negotiate and play games? Car salesmen are not all alike, but with that said, there are some blatant thieves out there that are just after every dime you have. Plus, many of them will just tell you what you want to hear rather than lay out the truth about the car you are interested in. Here are just a couple of times when the salesman might take advantage of you. And if you truly feel you have been ripped off, you should take advantage of a hidden defect lawyer that will state your case and get your money back on that car.

This Car Has Never Been in an Accident

Have you ever bought a car from a salesman who swore that the vehicle had never been in a major accident only to discover later on down the road that it had been wrapped around a tree at some point? If the accident was just a little fender bender then that is one thing. But if there was major engine damage, the likelihood that problems could resurface are high. There are websites online where you can determine whether or not the car was in a serious accident or not if you are doubting the car dealership.

Did You Buy a Lemon?

Raise your hand if you have driven your new vehicle less than a week before problems started to arise. It is one thing if there is a warranty that covers every little problem, but if the problems are bigger and the warranty is close to running out, it is time to talk to the dealership about getting your money back. You bought a vehicle, not a headache. And this “new” car will only keep on giving you headaches.
