5 business casual outfits to integrate into your wardrobe now

September 23, 2020 by Ian Leave a Comment

Today, most of the offices have “business casuals” as the dress code for the employees. Have you ever wondered what this style means? It means to dress smartly but casually. Your attire needs to be professional and comfortable, but it shouldn’t look too concealing. Outfits, such as shorts, jeans, short dresses and skirts are usually not allowed for female employees, according to the business casual dress code.

So are you thinking about what to wear to the office without being monotonous about your dressing style? Here are some options that you can try to make your wardrobe look interesting, smart and casual at the same time.

  1. A-Line Skirts and Shell Tops

This is a combination that never goes wrong as a work outfit. Most of the women love this, because this attire makes them look smart and professional. Please note that you have to choose contrasting colors for your A-line skirt and top to create the look that you desired.

If you wear that you have round and plump waists, you can wear slimming shorts under your skirts. The heat generated from these shorts helps you to shed weight, and also makes your waist look shapely. Depending on the climate, you can choose to wear a cardigan over your top to complete the look.

  1. Button-up shirts and trousers

Here we give you another evergreen example of a business casual outfit – the button up top and trousers. This combination can never go wrong at all. If you thought this was a dull and boring attire, here is a simple but effective way to make it more colorful than before. All you need to do is to wear a scarf around your neck! Ensure that the scarf is colorful but not too bright. A silk scarf, wrapped around your neck goes very well with your button up top.

  1. A simple sheath dress with tights

A sheath dress not only makes you look smart but slim as well. One of the best ways to rock your sheath dress is by wearing black or nude tights along with it. This way, even if your dress stops above your knees, it won’t look inappropriate for your workplace. Also, you can pair your dress with a black, thick, cardigan to complete your professional look.

Some other tips you consider

You can pair gray trousers with a belt, as this look will go very well along with any top. However, to make them look apt for your workplace, you can wear gray trousers along with patterned or striped shirts. A skinny belt will make your waist look slender.

Keep your accessories as minimal as possible to look smart for your office. Don’t forget to wear the right colored pumps to go with your trousers. Nude pumps and black pumps are one of the most sought after accessories when people wear business casual outfits.

You can consider wearing a sweater if the ambiance in your office is very cold; however, a V-neck sweater that is in a shade that matches your skin tone. Wearing a silk scarf around your sweater will make you look classic and comfortable.
